Deborah has been providing tax planning and preparation for individuals, partnerships, and corporations since 2000. Deborah’s expertise includes a wide range of tax issues and includes real estate partnerships, non-profits, and international taxation having lived in Canada, the UK, and the Netherlands.

Her career started in the Banking Industry focused on Internal Bank Auditing and Financial Services Management. This established a strong financial foundation and supported a move into joint venture accounting in the Oil and Gas Industry. After launching two separate and successful entrepreneurial efforts, she joined Kirkpatrick, Mathis & Brown LLC, a full service CPA firm. In 2018, she merged with MRM CPAs and Advisors in Frisco, TX.

These experiences have provided her with a solid commercial foundation due to the range of perspectives acquired, particularly while running her own business.

Of specific interest is her focus on real estate partnerships. She has extensive experience in providing accounting, consulting and tax compliance services to real estate development and ownership projects. Through active participation in multiple real estate partnerships (currently 17), she has developed a unique perspective in the key tax considerations for participants in these opportunities.
