HOUSTON, TEXAS — January 22, 2026
Disrupt Group, the parent company of Disrupt Equity, Emerge Living, and Stealth Renovations, today announced the promotion of Roman Stephens from Chief Operating Officer at Emerge Living to President of Disrupt Group. In this role, Stephens will oversee the firm’s operating platform and support continued growth and alignment across its multifamily investment, operating, and construction businesses. Stephens brings over 25 years of experience across fund management, development, operations, and asset management. Since joining Emerge Living, he has played a critical role in strengthening operational discipline, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and building scalable infrastructure to support the firm’s next phase of growth.
As President, Stephens will oversee Disrupt Group’s core operating verticals, which includes responsibilities for asset management, accounting, legal, acquisitions, and capital raising. This structure is designed to improve coordination across the platform, drive operational excellence, and enable each business to scale efficiently while maintaining alignment with Disrupt Group’s long-term strategy.
“I’m honored to step into the role of President of Disrupt Group and grateful for the trust of our partners. I’m excited to continue working with our teams to strengthen alignment across the platform and support the next phase of growth,” said Stephens.
“Having Roman step into this position, I’m confident his people-centered leadership and his ability to align talent, strategy, and execution will create lasting value for Disrupt Group,” said Ben Suttles, Managing Partner at Disrupt Group. “Those who have worked with Roman appreciate his ability to build trust, bring clarity to complex organizations, and lead teams through growth and change,” said Feras Moussa, Managing Partner at Disrupt Group.
Prior to joining Disrupt Group, Stephens served as Chief Operating Officer of Beam Living, a Blackstone portfolio company, where he led operations for a premier multifamily platform in one of the most competitive rental markets in the country. Previously, he was Senior Vice President at Northland Investment Corporation, overseeing operations for more than 26,000 apartment homes across 14 markets and multiple investment vehicles valued at approximately $1.2 billion. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Camden Property Trust, where he managed 20,000 units across Texas and Colorado markets, and at Hines, where he worked in both operational and development capacities, helping manage $1.1 billion in multinational commercial and industrial real estate funds.
This leadership transition reflects Disrupt Group’s continued evolution as a fully integrated multifamily platform and positions the organization for sustained growth in 2026 and beyond.
